Non-Public School Notification of Services:
Private, non-profit schools interested in learning more about federally funded programs and
services provided by Comal ISD are invited to attend an information and consultation meeting
Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 3:00pm. The meeting will take place in at the Comal ISD Support
Services Building at 1404 IH 35 North, New Braunfels, TX 78130.
Federal program services available to eligible private school students, parents/guardians and
teachers are:
- Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Part B (IDEA-B); IDEA-B Preschool Program; Title I, Part A, Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged; Title I, Part C, Migrant Education Program; Title II, Part A, Teacher and Principal Training and Recruiting Fund; and Title III, English Language Acquisition, Language Enhancement & Academic Achievement Act.
Private, non-profit schools that elect to receive services must comply with all requisite federal
policies and procedures. All services are coordinated through Local Education Agencies (LEAs).
