The Comal Independent School District is now accepting nominations for the names of two new elementary schools and a new middle school. The new schools were approved by voters in November as part of the district’s 2021 Bond Program.
- Elementary School #19 will be located on Hwy. 46 south of IH-35. It will provide enrollment relief for Clear Spring and Freiheit Elementaries and is scheduled to open in August 2023.
- Elementary School #20 will be located on Hubertus Road across from Danville Middle School. It will provide enrollment relief for Morningside and Garden Ridge Elementaries and is scheduled to open in August 2023.
- Middle School #8 will be located near Hwy. 281 and FM 1863. It will provide relief for Pieper Ranch Middle School and is scheduled to open in August 2024.

Nominations should include written statements containing information about the person or place submitted including: biographical data; significant contributions; and why the school should be named after the person or place.
