M.H. Specht Elementary School’s Amber Galvan was named a Distinguished Educator by Superintendent Andrew Kim on the morning of December 20.
As part of the annual Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching, superintendents throughout the region are asked to nominate one teacher to represent their school district as Distinguished Educator. Each nominee will be recognized at an awards ceremony in March where they’ll receive a cash prize and have the opportunity to be selected for the Trinity Prize.
Galvan was surprised with the honor during the fifth grade holiday party where fellow teachers, administrators, and the entire fifth grade class cheered her on.
