  • Indian Springs Elementary (ISES)
  • Specht Elementary (SES) *
  • Johnson Ranch Elementary (JRES) - south of FM 1863

Bulverde Middle School Zones

Elementary and middle school students who reside in the Kinder Ranch Elementary and Timberwood Park Elementary attendance zones are not impacted by this boundary change and will continue to attend Pieper Ranch Middle School (PRMS).

All students who attend BMS and PRMS will attend Pieper High School upon entering 9th grade.

Course Offerings

Both BMS and PRMS will offer students the same academic and extracurricular opportunities.

Transportation

All students living in the SES and ISES attendance zones will receive district-provided transportation to BMS. Students who grandfather to stay at PRMS will be responsible for providing their own transportation as district bus service will not be available.

*Although portions of the Specht attendance zone are closer in proximity to Pieper Ranch than Bulverde Middle School, keeping Specht as a feeder school to Pieper Ranch would not provide the needed enrollment relief.

The boundary committee looked at an alternative option of splitting the Specht attendance boundary between the two schools, with the area along Overlook Parkway and south Canyon Golf going to Bulverde, and the remainder of the attendance zone staying at Pieper Ranch.

A survey was open to the Specht community Dec. 6 - 12 asking which option was preferred. More than 50 percent of the households that responded indicated that they preferred that all of Specht go to Bulverde rather than be split between the two middle schools.
