2023-2028 Collaborative Vision Strategic Plan

Vision, Mission, Motto In March 2023, Comal ISD convened a committee of more than 60 community members to develop the District’s Collaborative Vision 5-Year Plan, which outlines the district’s goals and the key initiatives for achieving them. At the June 13 Board Workshop, the administration facilitated an in-depth review and discussion of the Strategic Plan with the assistance of members of the Collaborative Vision Committee.

Together, members of the committee created a Graduate Profile with the following results: A Comal ISD graduate will be accountable, real-world prepared, a communicator, have integrity, have an adaptive mindset, a critical thinker, and financially literate. Furthermore, the committee defined the district's priorities and objective in six main areas including:

Facilities/Growth and Planning

District Improvement Plan

The District Improvement Plan is based on the development of the Collaborative Vision documents, Board Goals, and with the most recent district and state assessment data. Performance objectives and strategies were created based on strategic initiatives, data, best practices, and stakeholder feedback. During the 2024-25 school year, administrators will continue to work with the District Educational Improvement Council (DEIC) and Support Services staff to monitor and revise the DIP. The DIP will be reviewed and updated in October, January, March, and May by administration and the DEIC.
