Character Competitions
Comal Shake is an opportunity for Comal ISD elementary students to compete for the "Best Shake". Students will shake hands, introduce themselves and have a conversation with adult judges to show off their interpersonal skills. Candidates are evaluated on their handshake, confidence, voice, conversational skills and overall success. Two students from each elementary campus will compete at Support Services for the Comal Shake Championship.
Comal Speaks is an opportunity to highlight our middle school students with the best speaking skills. Each campus competes and chooses two representatives to compete in the Finals at Support Services. The contest helps to build and develop personal and professional communication skills, integrity and perseverance using problem-solving and critical thinking.
