Emergency Communications

The safety and security of Comal ISD students and staff is of utmost importance. To ensure that every parent or guardian has themost accurate account of situations regarding safety, school closures and weather alerts, parents must keep their contact information up-to-date in Skyward.

Comal ISD utilizes several channels to communicate these alerts. Please click on each tool below for additional information and to sign up where necessary to receive urgent communications:

SMS Text Messaging

Comal ISD utilizes SchoolMessenger to deliver text messages with important information regarding safety, school closures and weather alerts. This is the fastest way to receive emergency updates from Comal ISD.

Opt-in from your mobile phone by sending "START" to 66458. You can also opt out of these messages at any time by replying to one of our messages with "STOP." Please ensure that Comal ISD has your wireless number(s) in our student information database.

Phone Call

Your campus and/or the district will utilize phone calls for important updates regarding weather delays and school closures, attendance or other important information. It is important that your child's campus has accurate and current information on file so that we can contact you as needed. If we do not have valid contact information on file, you could be missing important notifications.
