Visual Art

The visual art department at Comal ISD is a high-quality program for elementary and secondary schools focused on students exploring the influence of the arts and creating with a knowledge of artists, cultures, and time periods, allowing for growth in their critical and creative processes.

Elementary campuses have their own art instructor with weekly lessons, and secondary schools offer a variety of courses with depth in drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, art history, and AP studio art. Students have the opportunity of submitting their art into shows and competitions to not only win awards, but build their portfolios throughout their education!
